1. Introduction

Welcome to OKEGAS (“we,” “our,” or “us”). OKEGAS is a Chrome extension that provides an all-in-one AI App Builder for Google Apps Script, featuring multi-model AI support, project templates, live preview, and publishing tools.

This Privacy Policy explains what information the OKEGAS extension accesses, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data. We are committed to protecting your privacy and being transparent about our practices.

2. Information We Collect and Process

OKEGAS does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on our own servers except as described below for license activation and publishing. All other data generated and used by the extension remains exclusively on your local device, except when you explicitly interact with third-party AI providers or OKEGAS licensing.

The extension may access or process the following types of information:

  • Google Apps Script project content you work on within the extension (processed locally)
  • AI chat session histories per project (stored in your browser’s local storage)
  • Your extension preferences and configuration settings (stored locally)
  • API keys or tokens you voluntarily enter for third-party AI services (stored locally)
  • License key and activation status (sent to OKEGAS servers for activation/validation)
  • User prompts and inputs (sent directly to the selected AI provider or OKEGAS AI endpoint, never to OKEGAS except for GASS or license activation)
  • Screenshots of your active tab, taken only when you explicitly activate the UI Cloner feature (stored temporarily in local browser storage for the active session only; never transmitted)

3. How We Use Your Information

  • Chat histories are stored locally to maintain session continuity across your Google Apps Script projects.
  • Your settings and preferences are stored locally to personalize your experience.
  • API keys you provide are stored locally and used only to authenticate requests to the AI services you choose to connect.
  • License keys are sent to OKEGAS servers (okegas.app) for activation and plan validation.
  • When you use an AI feature, your prompt and relevant context are sent directly to the selected AI provider (see Section 4).
  • Screenshots captured via UI Cloner are stored in local browser storage for the duration of your session and are used solely to generate a UI description prompt. They are never uploaded to OKEGAS servers or any third party.

4. Third-Party and OKEGAS AI Services

When you use OKEGAS AI features, your prompts and inputs are sent directly from your browser to the selected provider. We do not intermediate or store these communications, except for license activation and GASS (OKEGAS AI) requests.

The following third-party and OKEGAS endpoints may receive your data, depending on your configuration:

  • Google Gemini (generativelanguage.googleapis.com): Prompts and context are sent to Google. Google Privacy Policy
  • Groq (api.groq.com): Prompts and context are sent to Groq. Groq Privacy Policy
  • NVIDIA NIM (integrate.api.nvidia.com): Prompts and context are sent to NVIDIA. NVIDIA Privacy Policy
  • OpenRouter (openrouter.ai): Prompts and context are sent to OpenRouter. OpenRouter Privacy Policy
  • Vercel AI Gateway (ai-gateway.vercel.sh): Prompts and context are sent to Vercel’s AI gateway. Vercel Privacy Policy
  • Pollinations AI (gen.pollinations.ai): Prompts and context are sent to Pollinations. Pollinations Privacy Policy
  • GPT4Free (g4f.dev, g4f.space): Prompts and context are sent to GPT4Free endpoints.
  • Baserow (api.baserow.io): Only if you configure Baserow integration, your data is sent to Baserow. Baserow Privacy Policy
  • DesignMD (designmd.ai): UI kit metadata and assets are fetched from DesignMD.
  • GitHub Raw Content (raw.githubusercontent.com): Template files and extension resources are fetched from GitHub’s raw content delivery. No user data or prompts are sent to GitHub; this is a one-way fetch of public assets.
  • OKEGAS AI (GASS) (api.okegas.app): If you use the GASS provider, your prompts and context are sent to OKEGAS AI servers for processing. No chat history or API keys are stored by OKEGAS beyond what is needed to process your request.
  • OKEGAS Licensing/Publishing (okegas.app): License key, activation status, and publishing data are sent to OKEGAS servers for activation, validation, and hosting.
  • Localhost / 127.0.0.1: If you enable Opencode or 9router, prompts are sent to your own local server and do not leave your device.

You control which providers you use. No prompts or API keys are sent to any provider unless you explicitly select and use that provider.

5. Optional Host Permissions

OKEGAS requests an optional broad host permission (https://*/*) that is not active by default. This permission is only requested and activated when you explicitly configure a custom AI provider endpoint or a self-hosted server URL in the extension settings. It is never granted or used automatically. When active, it allows the extension to communicate with the custom URL you have entered. No data is sent to any URL under this permission without your direct action.

6. Data Storage

OKEGAS uses Chrome’s built-in local storage APIs (chrome.storage.local) to store data on your device, including:

  • AI chat session histories for each project
  • Extension settings and user preferences
  • Any API configuration you provide
  • Screenshots captured via UI Cloner (session-only; cleared when the session ends or the extension is reloaded)

The extension requests the unlimitedStorage permission to ensure your chat history is never arbitrarily truncated. This storage is local to your browser and is never transmitted to OKEGAS servers, except for license activation and publishing.

7. Host Permissions

OKEGAS requests access to specific domains to enable its features. These permissions are used as follows:

Domain Purpose
script.google.com Inject the extension UI and interact with the Google Apps Script editor
generativelanguage.googleapis.com Communicate with Google Gemini AI
api.groq.com Communicate with Groq AI
integrate.api.nvidia.com Communicate with NVIDIA NIM AI
openrouter.ai Communicate with OpenRouter AI
ai-gateway.vercel.sh Communicate with Vercel AI Gateway
gen.pollinations.ai, g4f.dev, g4f.space Communicate with Pollinations AI and GPT4Free
api.okegas.app Communicate with OKEGAS AI (GASS) provider
api.baserow.io Optional Baserow database integration
designmd.ai Fetch UI kit metadata and assets
raw.githubusercontent.com Fetch template files and public extension resources from GitHub
okegas.app License activation, template library, and publishing
localhost, 127.0.0.1 Connect to a local Opencode/9router AI server (user-enabled only)

8. Data Retention and Deletion

  • Local data (chat history, settings, API keys, screenshots): Stored exclusively on your device. You can clear this data at any time by clearing the extension’s storage in Chrome settings (chrome://settings/siteData) or by uninstalling the extension.
  • License and activation data (held on OKEGAS servers): Retained for the duration of your active subscription plus 90 days after expiry, then permanently deleted. To request early deletion, contact info@okegas.app.
  • Publishing data (held on OKEGAS servers): Retained as long as your published app is active. You may delete your published app at any time from within the extension, which removes all associated data from our servers.
  • GASS AI requests: Prompts sent to OKEGAS AI are processed in real time and not stored beyond what is necessary to return a response.

9. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We do not sell, rent, trade, or otherwise share your personal data with any third parties for advertising or marketing. We do not have access to the data stored locally on your device by the extension.

The only data that leaves your device is:

  • Prompts and context you send to the third-party AI providers or OKEGAS AI (GASS) you choose to connect (see Section 4)
  • License key and activation status sent to OKEGAS servers for activation/validation
  • Data you explicitly publish to OKEGAS hosting

All such interactions are governed by the respective provider’s privacy policy.

10. Data Security

All data processed by OKEGAS is stored locally on your device and never transmitted to our servers except as described above. API keys are saved in Chrome’s local storage and are not accessible to other extensions or websites.

We recommend keeping your browser and operating system up to date for the best security.

11. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data held by OKEGAS (limited to license activation and publishing records stored on our servers):

  • Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
  • Correction: Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Deletion: Request deletion of your data.
  • Portability: Request your data in a portable format.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@okegas.app. We will respond within 30 days. Note that data stored locally in your browser is entirely under your own control and is not accessible to us.

12. Children’s Privacy

OKEGAS is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the extension, please contact us at info@okegas.app.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to the extension’s features or applicable laws. When we make changes, we will update the “Last Updated” date at the top of this document. Continued use of the extension after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
